An oak pergola for authentic Mediterranean charm
We installed a beautifully crafted oak pergola that adds both structure and character, creating a shaded retreat that is perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing in the warm summer months. The natural oak material harmonises with the surrounding landscape, reinforcing the rustic, timeless appeal of Mediterranean gardens.
To ensure the pergola seamlessly integrates with the rest of the space, the porcelain paving was extended around its base. This thoughtful design choice enhances the connection between different elements of the garden, maintaining a consistent and cohesive look throughout.
A true Mediterranean garden isn’t complete without lush, sun-loving plants. To soften the paved area and add texture, Pip introduced Mediterranean-style planting around the pergola. Drought-resistant plants such as lavender, rosemary, and ornamental grasses bring fragrance, movement, and colour to the space while requiring minimal upkeep. These carefully selected plants not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also support a sustainable, low-maintenance garden design.
